If you head on over to Star Wars on YouTube, you can see some cool stuff, including behind the scenes pictures and stills from all six films.
Even if you're a bit of a Star Wars geek (or even a super obsessed fan), you may not have seen some of these pictures before. It's a reminder of just how much of a collaborative, team effort the films were, and how much ingenuity and skill it required to make a series of films that transcend Sci Fi to become quite probably the most well known films in history.
Whilst it might be fun (and easy) to scream 'Noooo!' at the changes in these new BD's, there's still a great deal to hang on to.
Here's a taste, and a reminder of the charm and fun that you fell in love with when you first encountered the Star Wars films (and why it hurts us when you change them, George).

Alternate, never produced Star Wars Action Figurines.

Concept art for the planet of Alderaan. Sadly we never got to see it. Up close. In just one piece.

Cool concept art for Snowtroopers.

You did know there was an alternate, alternate poster, right?

Concept art for Return of the Jedi.

Scum and Villainy on Tatooine. For them, the Mos Eisley Cantina was like Cheers.

Peter Mayhew takes a Chewie Break.

That's no moon! That's the first model for the Death Star!

Empire Strikes Back director Irvin Kirshner rides a tauntaun. As you would!

Concept art for the Millennium Falcon on Hoth.

If you didn't know - yes, Yoda was based on a human being.

Awww cute! The smallest Millennium Falcon model ever made.

The smallest AT-AT model ever made, created for 'distance' shots.
There's also some cool deleted scenes leaking out onto the internet - here's a great one of Han and Leia on Hoth.
Star Wars, the Complete Saga, is available in Australia on September 14 - a week from today.
